| | Transolutions WA customer's sites are hosted on a global network of servers in many data centers around the world. The specific location for your site is determined by your location and any special co-location requirements you need. By keeping your sites local improves performance for your local customers but can see a network performance for remote customers. You can find the specific location of our data centers here. |
| | Most hosting providers provide only a single T3 connection. Whilst this is enough bandwidth to support most needs it does not support a truely global infrastructure. Our data centers are typically connected through 2 OC-3's, 3 DS-3's and multiple OC-12 all supported by a tier one backbone. |
| | Yes. Transolutions WA can provide a multitude of networking services. More information on our dedicated servers can be found here. And our technical team can help you with any special location services you require. |
| | When a web site is using 10% or more of our server memory or CPU for more than 1 minute, it is considered to be using excessive server resources. On average a web site should only be using 0.1% of memory or CPU at anytime. If a customer is using their site for spamming or mass-emailing then this is considered an abuse or their account. We reserve the right to terminate any customer's account if we determine their usage of our services to be abusive. |
| | Transolutions WA can host a web site for any country specific domain name you require to use. Our Domain Shop allows you to register country specific domain names and offer bulk purchase and extended registering discounts. |
| | Yes. We regsiter multiple domain names for our customers including the popular .com, .net, .info and .biz extensions. We also offer country specific domain names such as: .us, .com.au, .co.uk, .be, .de, .ca etc. Visit our Domain Shop to see a complete list. |
| | No. If you require a domain name then during the process of choosing your hosting plan you can define the new domain name you require and it will be registered for you and pointed to your hosting account. You can search for a new domain name for free until you have found one you would like. |

| | When signing up for hosting account then you can select to have your domain name transferred to Transolutions WA. It is not mandatory to transfer your domain name to us but in order for the domain name to be pointed to the hosting plan you may need to configure your DNS settings. Transferring your domain name to Transolutions WA means we do all this configuration and manage the domain name and it's subsequent renewals for you. Have you ever found your domain name has expired and your hosting company did not warn you, this does not happen with Transolutions WA, we manage our customer's domain names and inform them well in advance of their expiry and need for renewal. |
| | If you are registering a new domain name and it is available then it is ordered for you immediately. There is a delay in the time for the domain name to be working, within 24/72 hours, but you would be able to use the IP address of the hosting plan. If you are transferring the domain then this can take a little longer. Please visit our Domain Shop for transferring your domain name to Transolutions WA. |
| | Our primary and secondary Domain Name Servers depend on your location and the hosting plan that you signed up for. These can be sent to you at any time by requesting them from our support department. |
| Transolutions WA uses a few suppliers for our web servers. Our budget plans are hosted on Dell PowerEdge 1750 web servers with Intel P4 Dual Xeon processors and Windows 2003 and IIS 6.0 operating system.
Our more advanced business plans use Silicon Graphics Origin 200 servers which have unmatched speed and reliability. |
| | Monthly data transfer usage is calculate by summing up the data that is loaded to compile a web page on your site multiplied by the number of visitors who request that page. Typically 1Gb of data transfer can handle 100,000 views of a single web page per month. For most sites this amount of transfer is plenty and our plans even provide you with some to spare but should your site require more then this can be purchased as required or even you may consider upgrading your hosting plan. |
| Your hosting account is setup in real-time when we receive your order. You will be sent a "welcome email" detailing the plan you have chosen.
The email will detail the configuration settings for your plan, your control panel, login details, FTP and email administration accounts, DSN settings and more. |
| | You can compare our plans by viewing either the budget plans or business plans. Typically our budget plans are used by small companies, developers and consultants who require an internet presence a little cost. Our business plans are higher grade plans providing exceptional performance and reliability for customers who require a near permanent presence on the web. |
| | Any FTP client (including CuteFTP, WS-FTP or even Internet Explorer etc.) can be used to transfer files to and from your hosting account.
